This last weekend we threw a few things in our luggage and made a mad dash for warmth, we are not fans of cold so when we received an email from Planet Sand for there Sand Drag’s in Laughlin, NV we were on it like stink on a monkey!!! Everything about this trip was perfect….The most beautiful weather that I wish I could have bottled and taken home with us, time with my Sweetheart/Soul mate and my Super Fantastic Daughter “Priceless!” Friday we woke up ate some breakfast, Played a little Kino and went for a walk threw the Avi Casino grounds, this Casino is just off the Colorado River with a beautiful beach that would be fantastic in the summer months for swimming but just as beautiful to look at in the winter! I was very pleased with our new vacation spot, the rooms not to shabby for the price and we will for sure be visiting this place again! Shayd had a fantastic time playing in the pool and of course she met a little friend on Friday, they swam and played until they were prunes, we were able to meet up with them again on Saturday night at the pool so the girls could swim. The Sand Drags… it was good, they have a great facility that I hope in the next year or so to be racing at!!! They had a very good turnout with some real fast bikes, they had one bike that was way way fast his first run on Friday was 0 to 121 in 30 feet…and then 0-125 on the one race that we saw on Saturday. On our way home Sunday we stopped by Hover Dam to check it out…I have driven or I should say was a passenger in my Popas semi for many many trips over the Dam but have never stopped to walk across it but this was a first for Trav and Shayd. It was great fun to see this magnificent structure up close, so many people put so much into building this beautiful piece of history! This trip was exactly what we needed It was a Fantastic get away and we are so happy that we were able to go, we have been working so much and have not been able to get much fun in this last summer so it was time to be a little selfish and spend time away to ourselves.
