Recently there was a show on called The Pregnancy Pact, this was about a couple of teenage girls that made a pact to get pregnant, I felt this was a must see, needless to say I was LIKE WHAT???? Who in there right mind would want to get pregnant at an early age… It was crazy to think now as an adult how much your friends influence your decisions in life, these girls were talked into getting pregnant by one of there friends who was pregnant. They were so excited to go into the nurse at school pee on a stick and find out they were now fulfilling there part of the Pregnancy Pact….but did not find out the consequence of there actions until it was way to late, The girl in the main roll wanting to stay in her little town forever felt the need to get pregnant so that her boyfriend, who was a very good baseball player and wanted to go to college so that he may go further in his baseball career, would stay because his girlfriend was going to have his baby….long story short he found out that her getting pregnant was not an accident and ended up dumping her, so now she is alone and having a baby at 15!!!! In the end the girl who started it all hated her life and wished she never got herself into the whole mess, but it was a little late, she felt the pain of birth and now was responsible for a baby... So sad to think there are so many girls to no longer have there childhood because they gave it up for motherhood, if you play in a grownup roll then you grow up way to fast!!!!
What did I learn from this?
1. Be honest with your children, your mistakes may help them make better decisions.
2. Let them know you were not born an adult, you have been there and this is why you don’t want them to do certain things. EXPLANE don’t just say “Because I said so!”
3. Be proactive, talk to them as often as you can! They may roll there eyes but they are still listening!
4. Help them respect themselves!!!
5. And last for now….We are all human!
What do you think about this subject? We as parents can always use advice!!!!

Amen sister! All good points! It is amazing how fast children grow up..one day you worry about sippy cups and car seats the next thing you know real life heartache threatens to intrude!
